ผักกาดขาวปลี และผักกาดหางหงส์  

ถ้าแบ่งตามหลักวิชาการ ผัก 2 ชนิดนี้อยุ่กลุ่มผักกาดขาวเหมือนกัน แต่แบ่งกลุ่มแยกจากกันตามรูปทรงของหัว

หัวสั้น – เรียก “ผักกาดขาวปลี” บางทีเรียก “ลุ้ย“ โครงการหลวงมีขายเกือบตลอดปี ในฤดูหนาว หัวใหญ่ เข้าหัวแน่น ส่วนฤดูร้อน ฤดูฝนหัวเล็ก เข้าหัวหลวม ๆ หัวเบา โดยเฉพาะในช่วงที่อากาศเปลี่ยน เช่น เดี๋ยวร้อน เดี๋ยวฝน มัมีปัญหาไส้เน่า หรือจุดดำบนกาบใบ   

หัวยาว – เรียก “ผักกาดหางหงส์” มีขายต่อเนื่องในฤดูหนาว

The name Chinese cabbage is applied to such a wide range of types and varieties of this vegetable. They have 2 major types

Group I : Pe-tsai

Maybe called Pekinensis group. Common name include celery cabbage, chinese white cabbage, pe-tsai.

Pe-tsai includes the broadleaved. compact-heading varieties of which there are two major forms, distinguished by their head shape; Oval forms which is short and ovate as in the diagram, and the Michihili (rocket forms), which is elongated in shape.
